Nestled in the heart of Germantown, this farmhouse renovation is a cherished project in our portfolio. Recently featured on HBO's "In with the Old," it highlights the beauty of preserving the home’s historical character while blending it with modern functionality.
This project belongs to a New York-based young couple with impeccable taste. Collaborating with them was a delightful experience, as brainstorming design ideas together elevated the project to new heights and became one of the most enjoyable phases of the process.
The overall concept focused on maintaining the home’s original essence, seamlessly merging old and new elements. The kitchen and two bathrooms were key areas of transformation. In the kitchen, the standout feature is a custom-designed island—a true centerpiece that exudes the charm of a precious jewel. Despite budget challenges, we collaborated with skilled craftsmen and top-notch vendors to bring this vision to life.
For the bathrooms, we embraced distinct aesthetics. While one bathroom features bold, dark tones for a dramatic effect, the other aligns with the home’s overall light and natural palette, ensuring both spaces feel cohesive yet unique.
This Germantown farmhouse is more than a renovation; it’s a celebration of thoughtful design and craftsmanship, preserving the past while embracing the present.
